Geneviève D’Astous is a leading illustrator and character designer based in Montreal. She studied traditional animation and graphic design, but initially started her career path in marketing. She soon turned to her true passion of illustration and using her experience in Animation to drive her Portfolio’s style and traditional techniques. Her technical drawing talents really shine through in her figurative work and her colour palettes and sense for cinematic perspectives really give her style a unique quality well suited to Picture Book, Visual development and Editorial markets. Through her intuitive approach to light and texture, combined with a variety of brush techniques, Geneviève likes to create characters and places inspired with vibrant and impactful emotions.
